Picture of Derek Keller DEREK KELLER is active both as an award-winning instrumentalist and composer. An accomplished musician, he is currently working at the University of California, San Diego specializing in the stringed instruments of guitar, electric guitar, banjo and mandolin.

Mr. Keller has placed first in various state and regional competitions as a guitarist, such as the MTNA - Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Southern Division Competition and second place in the MTNA - Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist National Division. Mr. Keller's mentors are John Sutherland and world-renowned guitarist Christopher Parkening. Mr. Keller is pursuing a Ph.D. in composition at UCSD, studying with Roger Reynolds.
