The author declines to say where he spent his formative years, how many children he has, what he does for money or whether he lives some of the time in France and also writes in French.
Some sleuthing will discover, however, that Dening was a fisherman of obscure but important documents raised to public consciousness from the vaults of history. He has made an art-form of publishing rare sealed political manuscripts in high quality expensive limited-run editions for libraries. Now retired he has committed his life to poetry. Oft reviewed he is sometimes associated with the Metroland group of English poets and is considered a "landscape poet" with the evocative power of former muse Edward Thomas.
